Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office secured the transfer of nine vessels owned by Russian companies from ARMA to the management of a Ukrainian enterprise.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The transfer of vessels, with a total cost of UAH 532 million, should ensure the receipt of revenues from their management to the state budget of Ukraine.

“The vessels arrived in Ukraine at the end of 2021 – the beginning of 2022. While carrying out economic activities in the transportation of goods, the Russian enterprises-owners of the vessels paid taxes and filled the budget of the Russian Federation, which in fact provided financial assistance to the armed forces of the aggressor country,” the message says.

It is added that the vessels were seized as part of the investigation of criminal proceedings on the facts of financing actions committed with the aim of violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, change of territory or state border of Ukraine.

By his decree, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi implemented the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of October 19 to impose sanctions on 1,374 companies and 256 Russian businessmen.
