Erdogan reacted to Russia’s demarche regarding the “grain agreement”: Turkey will continue its efforts

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that although Russia is hesitant on the issue of the “grain initiative”, Turkey will continue efforts for an agreement on grain supplies. This is reported by UNN with reference to Hurriyet .


“Thanks to the joint mechanism we created in Istanbul, we put 9.3 million tons of Ukrainian wheat at the service of the world, thereby reducing the food crisis comparatively. Although Russia is hesitating in this matter because it does not have the same opportunities for itself, we will continue to strive to serve humanity,” Erdogan said.


On October 29, Russia announced its withdrawal from the “grain agreement”. Also, on October 29, Russia announced that it is ready to completely replace Ukrainian grain on the world market.

However, on October 31, within the framework of the “grain initiative”, 12 ships left the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny.
